What to read while staying at home
As residents of Denver are staying at home in an effort to flatten the curve of COVID-19, most of us have a lot more free time than we did a few weeks ago. If you’re looking for ways to use your time well, here are some great books to consider reading.

Enjoy: Finding the Freedom to Daily Delight in God’s Good Gifts by Trillia Newbell
God’s Grace in Your Suffering by David Powlison
New Morning Mercies by Paul David Tripp
Included in this book are 365 one-page devotionals that are brief yet deep, thoughtful, and mercy-filled. Compared to a lot of devotional books I have read, this one stands out. I love how this book is able to both challenge and encourage us as it brings us near to the character of God, His presence, and our response to Him.

None Like Him by Jen Wilkin
Sacred Rhythms by Ruth Haley Barton
Side by Side by Ed Welch
This book is all about offering practical guidance to those who want to develop their “helping skills” when it comes to walking alongside hurting people. It’s based on the conviction that friends are the best helpers and God delights in using ordinary relationships and conversations - between ordinary Christians - to work extraordinary miracles in the lives of his people.

The Prodigal God by Tim Keller
This is such a beautiful and helpful book on one of the most widely recognized parables of Jesus that gets right to the heart of the Gospel. Whether you’re exploring faith for the first time and feel like an outsider or you’ve been following Jesus for 50 years, The Prodigal God is for you.
