“The Signs” Sermon Series
Beginning this Sunday (February 10) and for the next 7 weeks, The Summit Church will be studying through the Gospel of John as a family on Sunday nights, as well as in our City Groups throughout the week. The point of John's gospel is to persuade his readers to believe in Jesus. John writes at the end of his book, "Now Jesus did many other signs in the presence of the disciples, which are not written in this book; but these are written so that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name" (John 20:30-31). Throughout the book, John tells seven stories about Jesus' work which serve as "signs" to help us fully know and believe who Jesus is.
Each week we will look at one of these 7 signs and humbly ask the Holy Spirit to reveal to us what truth about Jesus we need to believe more fully, and what practical implications this should have on our lives. Below you will find "The Signs" Sermon Series reading schedule so you can study and pray through the corresponding texts individually and in community as you prepare your heart and mind to hear God's Word preached on Sunday.
