Why we give at Christmas

Each Advent, we choose generosity over consumption through the Christmas Offering. Every gift becomes part of His Kingdom work—shaping lives at The Summit, caring for our neighbors, and carrying the story of Jesus into places it’s rarely been heard.

We give for two reasons:

Formation.
To be shaped as people who live with open hands. In this small way, we resist consumerism and grow in gratitude for what God is doing among us.

Participation.
We join Jesus in the renewal of all things—making space for healing and transformation, caring for the vulnerable, and carrying the good news to the unreached. God builds His Kingdom through ordinary people offering their lives.

Through Our Community

The Summit Church

Jesus invites all to come to Him. As The Summit Church, we want our lives to echo that invitation in Denver. Your generosity resources open tables like Alpha dinners, pre-marriage and marriage classes, youth camps and scholarships, and other gatherings and pathways where people can encounter the presence of Jesus in real and meaningful ways.

Across Our City

LoveWell Colfax

We’re partnering with LoveWell Colfax to walk with neighbors navigating homelessness. After years operating from a basement, LoveWell is preparing to move into a new building—a home for meals, showers, rest, friendship, and a store where friends join in shared rhythms and earn points they can use to choose what they need.

This new space gives our church a tangible place to serve along Colfax, forming long-term relationships and joining God’s work of friendship, hope, and dignity in our city.

Globally

Summit Members Serving Abroad

In parts of the world where communities have little access to Scripture or the story of Jesus, a family from our church—sent through a trusted missions partner—lives among their neighbors with intentional friendship and a faithful, long-term presence.

This year’s offering will help provide a reliable vehicle, opening new roads for connection, discipleship, and gospel work.

Everything comes from you, and we have given you only what comes from your hand.
— 1 Chronicles 29:14

Practicing Generosity

Our prayer is simple: that every one of us would participate. Every gift, whether large or small, is an act of worship, gratitude, and trust in the God who restores all things.

Pause to Pray

Holy Father,
All that we have comes from You.
You are our provider; in Your generosity
You’ve given us more than we could ask or imagine.

Teach us to hold what we have with open hands;
to give as freely as You’ve given to us.

Form us into a people marked by gratitude,
who recognize Your abundance even in small offerings,
and trust You to multiply whatever we bring.

Draw us deeper into Your story
where surrender becomes joy,
and generosity becomes a glimpse of Your kingdom
on earth as it is in heaven.
Amen.
