Today I will be flying to Peru on a missions trip. It's a unique trip that will lead us into the high jungle of central Peru to a small community of indigenous people called the Yanesha.

The aspens are turning yellow, the Broncos are winning and fall is officially upon us. 2013 has absolutely flown by, but it is important to look back at times and see how God has been faithful and how He has done some tremendous things in the life of our church.

This Sunday we will be starting a brand new teaching series called "The Survival Guide: How to Follow Jesus in the City." Both our experience and the Scriptures clearly reflect that following Jesus in the city is hard.

Even though it barely feels like Spring here in Denver, believe it or not, it's already time to start making those summer plans.

Last Sunday, we concluded The Roots Campaign - our attempt to step up and go "all-in" to do the work required for The Summit to be a people who exist in urban Denver for multiple generations. Your response was astounding.

Summiteers, I need your help. We are getting ready for a really big Easter here at The Summit, and to celebrate, we are going to begin a new series on Easter Sunday called "This Changes Everything".

Beginning this Sunday (February 10) and for the next 7 weeks, The Summit Church will be studying through the Gospel of John as a family on Sunday nights, as well as in our City Groups throughout the week.

2011 was a year that we had anticipated for some time, knowing that this would be the year we'd move to Denver to plant our lives in anticipation of planting God's church.

We love the Bible at The Summit and we want to encourage you to as well. It can be an intimidating book, and it's often difficult to know where to start when it comes to learning more about it.

God has been very good to us and continued to grow The Summit Church. Because of this, we will be moving into a new facility in the new year.

On November 19th we called our community to a workday at our new gathering location

The previous tenant has cleared out their equipment, and we've begun preparing the space to make the move in January.
